Jim
Karate Kidz is owned and operated by Sensei Jim McTeigue. A former “karate kid” himself, Sensei Jim began studying martial arts at the age of five. He has continued his martial arts journey throughout the years with two decades of formal training across five different styles. As a former multi-sport athlete with experience in football, baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, and golf, he has years of experience applying the principles of applied body motion derived from martial arts to various other athletic pursuits. As a parent, nothing brings him greater joy than passing on what he’s learned to the next generations.

Pre-K Through 1st Grade
For the youngest kids our primary focus is developing the foundational mental skills they’ll need to be effective students in karate and elsewhere …..
2nd Through 5th Grades
Our older students will receive a comprehensive, age-appropriate education in Okinawan Shorin-ryu (karate) alongside exercises and fitness ……
6th Grade+
At present we are focusing exclusively on elementary school students but intend to offer additional programs moving forward.
